Submerged is a video originally made as a sketch of a choreographed solo. However, it became a short dance film of its own. All movement on the film is improvised and I would call Submerged as an ode to all that New York can evoke in a dancer.

It is an expression of opressed feelings that are no longer able of staying silent. The inspiration for it came from shifting landscapes from the hectic Manhattan to the quiet Helsinki streets in the middle of a dark Winter 2011-2012.
